Entertaining audiences across the globe, playing (at least) 4 instruments, classically trained in 3, with 2 Music degrees, and a singing & performing style as unique as she is....
…this is one highly skilled musician, comedian, actor, arranger, educator, and hilarious performer to boot. From classical concerts to comedy shows, improvisation to musicals, via dark and dramatic cabarets or muddy festival fields, Emma Price absolutely oozes musical & comedic, and dramatic flair...
Emma began her musical journey as an angelic music scholar in a convent school in the heart of the English countryside. A classically trained chorister, pianist, and flautist, Emma went on to receive her BMus from Birmingham University, and a Master’s degree from Trinity College of Music, before settling in London to establish a freelance career in the classical world as performer, educator and arranger.
But with comedy being such a strong force in her life, Emma couldn't keep up the serious classical musician act for long. Developing precious skills as a street performer in Covent Garden, as well as singing and playing accordion and flutes with the folk band The BeauBowBelles, Emma decided to take her technical prowess and strong sultry vocals to the comedy world.
Besides hosting the CRASSical music podcast a Day with Price, and establishing herself in the London improv & musical comedy scene, Emma can be seen performing in festivals and cabarets across the world, including Glastonbury Festival, KISS Arts Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her musical comedy. Emma has most recently begun collaborating with clown Thelmo Parole, playing piano for his show A Taste of Vaudeville, first at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019, and then planned internationally for 2020… which will have to wait until 2021! For now, Emma is based in Albion Park NSW with her wonderfully silly partner, performer Corey Pickett, with whom she often performs as part of a comedic circus and musical act.
